Frequently asked questions
- What are UTM parameters?
- They are query parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, etc.) added to a link so analytics tools can tell which campaign or channel drove a visit—without changing the page itself.
- Does this tool track clicks for me?
- No. It only builds the URL. Your analytics product (e.g. Plausible, GA, or your LMS) must receive the traffic to report on it.
- Is my data uploaded?
- No. Parameters are assembled in your browser; we do not store your campaign names.
- Why use UTMs for courses?
- They help you compare newsletter sends, partner webinars, and social posts when the goal is the same landing page—so you know what messaging or channel pulls signups.
- Should UTMs be lowercase?
- Consistency matters more than case. Pick a convention (e.g. lowercase source and medium) and stick to it so reports stay clean.
