PDF to course

Turn a PDF into a course. You study it here.

Lecture notes, a textbook chapter, or a docs export become modules and lessons — with quizzes and flashcards from the material, not a chat summary you lose.

How it works

From file to path

  1. 01

    Drop the PDF

Open a new course and attach the file while you plan. Or describe the document if you are still on Free. The planner reads the source instead of inventing a generic syllabus.

  2. 02

    Get modules and lessons

Ailurn breaks dense chapters into an ordered path: what to learn first, what can wait, and where the definitions actually live in your notes.

  3. 03

    Study in the workspace

Each lesson is a reader. Ask in the lesson. Take quizzes and flashcards generated from that material. Listen when you would rather hear it. Code and STEM models appear when the subject needs them.

Questions

What this actually is.

How do I turn a PDF into a course?

Sign up, start a new course, and attach the PDF in planning chat. Ailurn drafts modules and ordered lessons from the document. You take that course in the same workspace — reader, Ask, quizzes, and flashcards.

Is this the same as chatting with a PDF in NotebookLM?

NotebookLM is a source-grounded study companion: chat, guides, and audio over files you upload. Ailurn commits a structured course you resume later — modules, lessons, quizzes, and spaced-repetition cards — then you study inside that path. See Ailurn vs NotebookLM.

Can I sell a course I generated from a PDF?

You own the material. On Plus you can export a course pack as Markdown ZIP, JSON, or HTML and publish it wherever you like. Ailurn does not host students, take payments, or export SCORM — that checkout is Teachable or Coursebox. This page is the study workflow.

Does the free plan accept PDF uploads?

File attachments start on Pro. Free still lets you plan one course from a prompt and generate two full lessons so you can see the workspace.
