Why only some child sitemaps?

Large sites may list many child sitemaps. We cap how many we fetch per request to stay fast and avoid abuse.

Is my sitemap private?

We only retrieve URLs you submit. If your sitemap is already public on the web, this tool simply requests it like a crawler would.
