YouTube to course
Turn a YouTube playlist into a course.Export the transcript.
YouTube to notes and lecture video to notes are the searches. The path is a transcript you export and attach. Ailurn does not watch videos, and pasting a YouTube link does not import a transcript: export the transcript and attach the file, which starts on a paid plan. Planning chat keeps the playlist order and commits modules and lessons, with quizzes and flashcards from that text.

Exported captions · one header per video
A pasted link does not import the transcript. The file does.

Playlist order. Lessons written from the transcript you attached.
Ailurn does not watch videos, and pasting a YouTube link does not import a transcript. Attach the .txt on Pro (up to 3 files) or Plus (unlimited). Free includes planning chat, a full outline, and one lesson from a prompt. Paste the video titles if you want that order. The free lesson is not read from the creator's transcript.
How it works
From transcript to path
01
Export the transcript
On desktop, open the video, choose Show transcript, turn timestamps off, and copy the text. Save one .txt with a header per video so the planner can see where each one starts.
02
Attach it and name the outcome
Say what done looks like, then attach the file in planning chat. The transcript sets the order, the scope, and which examples matter. Ailurn writes each lesson to that outline.
03
Study the course
Each lesson is a reader. Ask inside it. Quizzes and flashcards are generated from the attached transcript inside the course. A sandbox opens when a lesson has code.
Questions
What this actually is.
How do I turn a YouTube playlist into a course?
Export each video's transcript to a text file and attach it in Ailurn planning chat. The planner keeps the playlist order and commits modules and lessons. You study them in the same workspace, with quizzes and flashcards generated from that material.
Can I paste a YouTube link?
Ailurn does not watch videos, and pasting a YouTube link does not import a transcript. Export the transcript and attach the file. Attachments start on a paid plan.
Is this YouTube to notes or lecture video to notes?
Those are the searches. YouTube to notes and lecture video to notes both mean the same path here: the transcript becomes a course, and the lessons are the notes. Quizzes and flashcards are generated from the attached material inside the course.
What can I do before I can attach a file?
Free includes planning chat, a full outline, and one lesson from a prompt. Paste the playlist's video titles as the topic list if you want the outline to follow that order. That lesson comes from the prompt, not from an attached transcript.
