Syllabus week counter & weeks until exam

Enter when your course’s week 1 starts and when your exam lands. You will see which syllabus week you are in and how many days (and rough calendar weeks) you have left to study.

Dates from your syllabus
Week 1 begins on the first day your course meets (or the first day listed as week 1). Exam is your final exam or last major deadline— all calculated locally.

Defaults to today. Change it to plan ahead or reconstruct a past term.

Pair the countdown with a real study plan

Knowing “how many weeks left” is only useful if you turn it into blocks on a calendar. Use this counter with a weekly hour budget and spaced review so the last stretch before finals is not only shorter on paper but actually planned.

When you want structured lessons—not just dates— Ailurn builds full courses from your goals so you can focus on learning, not hunting resources.

Frequently asked questions

How do you define “week 1”?
We anchor week 1 to the calendar date you enter as the first day of week 1 on your syllabus—often the first class meeting. Each syllabus week is then seven calendar days from that start. If your school numbers weeks from Monday while your course starts Wednesday, you can shift the anchor date to match how you read the syllabus.
What counts as the exam date?
Use your final exam, last project deadline, or any single date you are counting down to. For multiple exams, run the tool for each date or use the earliest one.
Why might this differ from my registrar’s week number?
Universities sometimes number “instructional weeks,” holidays, or partial weeks differently. This tool uses simple 7-day blocks so you get a consistent countdown—compare it to your official calendar and adjust the start date if needed.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Dates stay in your browser; we do not send them to Ailurn’s servers for this tool.
What does “calendar weeks until exam” mean?
We take the days remaining until your exam and divide by seven, rounding up to the next whole week. It is a rough planning unit—not a guarantee of how many lecture meetings you have left.
